The titel of the installation refers to a failed attempt to place a work consisting of ten steelbuoys fitted together to five man-high doublescuptures inside of the exhibition space. It was planned to scratch and move the heavy objects with a rotating tentacle.

 The attempt failed, because the entrance door was 4 centmeters too narrow.

 The artists then placed the installation on an obsolete ferry boat.

 Inside the exhibition room they positioned the silhouettes of the buoyes with the missing 4 centimeters marked in a different collour, a tentacle rotating in the middle and a frottage of the ferry's old steel floor. A videoloop shows the scratching on the ferry.
